The STX Surgeon SC is built with a Scandium Alloy blend, making it one of the lightest shafts STX has ever created. With its new precision profile handle shape (EXTREME CONCAVE OCTAGON) the Surgeon SC will have superior thumb and finger placement and enhance control.
STX also added a Accufinish texture which will provide a permanent and aggressive shaft finish for superior grip. This texture will be seen in many of the next Surgeon lacrosse shafts to provide an advanced abrasion blast texture needed to withstand all weather conditions.

Cons: Poor Durability
I had ordered two of these shafts early before the beginning of my season. The shafts were really lightweight and were a perfect fit for the Stallion U700 head. However, in a weekend tournament, both shafts broke in the same game. I broke the first one two shifts into the game and the second broke the very next shift, the first time it had taken any contact.
