Details

The Maverik Apollo Attack Lacrosse shaft is made for pure speed! The Apollo shaft is now the lightest shaft in the Maverik arsenal due to its Dynamic wall taper that thins out the inner sidewall of the shaft to reduce weight. Maverik then increases the durability of the shaft with the new dimensions of their patented speed handle shape. This makes the corners of the shaft more durable in order to withstand ferocious stick checks.

High end Shaft with a High End Dent to game ratio

My son (u12) was super excited for this shaft. He saved up his money to purchase on his own only to be disappointed. After his first game, he had 3 major dents in it and much more through the season.

I would not buy this shaft again

This broke way to fast. Wasn't even a hard cross check snapped it right in half. Also it dented everytime it was touched

It is what it is

Starting off, I play attack for one of the top teams in CT (lots of practice and games). I got this shaft right at the beginning of the spring season. Shaft broke on first cold game. During my first game (in about 40 degree weather), I was going for a ground ball and the shaft took one hard check then bent.

This shaft has a great feel, very clean graphics, and is lightweight.

Overall, I would say:
-Don't use in (very) cold weather - anything above 55 should be fine
-Great Feel
-Lightweight
-Semi-Tough
-Great Warranty
-Price is a bit hight

light weigh strong and strong

this shaft is the best shaft that i have ever had i used it for a hole season and i only have one dent and that was because an illegal slash this is very strong and light it weighs in at 140 grams tied for the third lightest shaft in the word and one other thing alot of people think the a1 and the apollo are the same thing there not the apollo is way lighter and a little less strong but it is already plenty strong and the a1 has grip and the apollo does not

Light but weak

This is the lightest shaft I've ever played with and I loved the feel of it, however it dented as soon as I got it and was slightly bent until I took another check and the whole thing broke in half. Very light but very weak. My friend also has one and his survived the season but it is dented beyond recognition.

Lightness vs Toughness

Very light shaft that has a great feel! But with that nice lightness allows it to easily dent! Simple checks shouldnt dent it but hard ones do! But is still strong and doesnt break easily!

Breaks Way to Easy

Really light and very nice grip to it. But i have gone through two shafts in a little over a month. breaks and dents extremely easy. got checked while i was following through with my shot and broke it right in the middle. same thing with the second shaft. would be good for someone in middle school and below. don't think it could make it through a season of HS or above.

Dangerous Product

This product is dangerous. First shaft broke on a cross check that was not even hard. Snapped in two. This shaft had been used in one practice and broke in the 6th quarter of game use. The second shaft is severely dented after less than 2 quarters of game use.

Light yet strong

The Apollo might be my favorite shaft I have ever used. It is crazy light weight with a nice grip to it. I wouldn't use it if I was a defensive midfielder, but as an attackman or midfielder who wants a lightweight stick it is fantastic. I bought it after the Mainely Mesh shaft test video on youtube comparing it to other shafts of similar weight, and haven't experienced dents with it.
