Turtle Island Lacrosse was founded by current professional lacrosse players Randy Staats and Brendan Bomberry. The two have developed a curriculum to provide groups and individual players with access to the knowledge and experiences that they gained themselves during each stage of their careers. Their ultimate goal is to spread the knowledge of their culture as Haudenosaunee people and the game throughout Turtle Island and beyond.
A portion of the proceeds from the Turtle Island Collection will go towards outreach missions that promote inclusion and growth in high need areas. These areas consist of Indigenous communities and inner-city programs. These outreach missions work to ensure that everyone has the chance to experience the game gifted by the Creator. Turtle Island Lacrosse and Epoch Lacrosse believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to play this game and enjoy it. The Dragonfly Purpose Pro 2 is unmatched in performance qualities. It is full of Epoch Proprietary Technology which sets it apart from other women’s shafts. The Dragonfly Purpose Pro is available in Epoch’s C (1 inch) and S (7/8 inch) geometry. Comes in at an iQ9 Flex rating which is designed to give the player the perfect amount of flex.
Features Epoch’s HD Resin which optimizes the mechanical strength properties especially in impact resistance. HD Resin improves the overall shaft but also adds direct benefits to each of Epoch’s Technologies. Surface Veil Tech (S.V.T.) gives another layer of added protection and is a layer of very thin fabric that is used in the military and aerospace manufacturing, wrapped on the outside of the carbon. When the S.V.T goes through the manufacturing process, it is heated to become part of the carbon fiber layup, which boosts toughness on the field. The Reload Technology uses low F.A.W. (Fiber Areal Weight) and high-modulus carbon fiber, which creates urgency for the fibers to return to their natural position for maximum recoil.
