The Nike Lakota U has dominated when it comes to popularity in the lacrosse community. Its flawless shape and design makes it an absolute scoring machine. This head was made to not only score goals but will light up the radar gun as well.

Weighing in on average at a respectable 4.8oz the Lakota allows you to shoot at high speeds with pinpoint accuracy. With a tight face and shape you get the best possible ball retention for dodging and a consistent channel release.

It has been considered one of the most ideal heads for midfielders who make a living on dodging, and is quite often used by faceoff specialists as well. The Lakota is a versatile head that enhances its flex technology for more strength and stability without adding weight. This allows the shooter to have extra torque in his shot while also maintaining great handle over the ball. Overall this head is a thing of beauty and it is one of the leading NFHS lacrosse heads in the game.

great deal

i picked this head up because i was looking for a more midfield oriented head. overall, this is a great head, especially for the price. it is extremely tough and it has a nice pointed scoop, which makes it extremely versatile. i can use it well for both attack and midfield if i want. it's pretty stiff, but it is surprisingly good for faceoffs. it also has a ton of stringing holes so you can put pretty much any pocket you want into it (i use a high pocket and it works well).the only problem i've encountered with it is that it is a bit wide for my taste. a great buy for a hybrid middie/attackman or a player on a budget

this head is very light, durable, and wide. I got it a couple days ago and it is very good. it also has a nice matte texture to it.

Solid Head!

I absolutely loved this head! It worked perfectly for a whole season and I just bought two new ones since it was on sale. My only problem was that after the season (which is a long time), the head didn't hold up as well on defense.

Get this head!!!!!!!

Hey guys!!!!!! If there would be a head to get, you pretty much just found it. I play close defense and LSM. This head for me has had great checking power and durability. With other heads, I haven't ever had better results with throwing and catching, especially in clearing. I like it so much that I'm gonna purchase another one to for my wooden defense shaft. I said it once and I'll say it again, gets this head bro!!!! You won't regret it at all!!!!

Great Head

Great head for LSM. It is very kightweight when it is paired with a maverik H2 sci-ti. I ordered another for my short pole and it is great.

My favorite head

I play defense and LSM I had a Lakota before the u and then switched to the u because it was wider. Now I have 3 for all my sticks

Face shape changed
returned it

Review by Thomas (Posted on 10/25/2016)
Great head for midfield

Really good stiff head for middies
Good variety of colors
And good stringability for a low to mid pocket

Review by Austin (Posted on 10/25/2016)
Great Buy!!!

Very good head. Has multiple stringing holes so you can customize your pocket. My one complaint is that the first top string hole is very close to the first sidewall hole. But overall a very great head.

Review by Ryan to the Brown (Posted on 10/25/2016)

I like this head a lot. It feels great passing and shooting as an attackman. But after a few months, the sidewalls have broken. I didn't expect this to happen after a few months.

Good All Around Buy

I bought this head to use with my gait ice at midfield. I personally am a big fan of Nike, so I decided to give this head a shot for my spring and summer season. Let me start out by saying that this is a tough, versatile head, perfect for midfield and strong enough to even make a case for defense, or LSM. The only position this head would not be a fit for is on faceoffs. The Lakota U is extremely stiff, and I like this because I typically play off the wing, and I don't like heads that flex when picking up ground balls, or when pressure is applied to the sides. This head is also a breeze to string. It has many stringing holes on the side, and I was able to get a good mid-pocket with a nice channel, low whip, and nice hold. As for the head shape, this head is pretty wide when it comes to universal heads suitable for the midfield, but it has a nice pinch point towards the middle of the head, perfect for a mid or mid-high pocket. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, and would recommend this to the advancing midfielder looking for an elite head, able to get the job done, for both defense, and offense.

it is a great head but it snapped after 4 years of abuse like poke checks and faceoffs.

Review by littlemacho (Posted on 10/25/2016)
I would buy ten of these heads!

I love this head. I have had four of them and they have taken a beating. Constant flexing on every face off and it's still not broken. After some time, it does get pinched. This can be easily prevented by stuffing a softball in it before games. It's easy to scoop up grounders, great for rotating people out on face-offs, and doesn't break. What a great head!
