The STX X10 U is modeled after the Xcaliber which is one of the best defensive heads in the game at the youth level. The classic trestle sidewall provides extra stiffness and durability for solid checks and ground ball play. This head is designed for elite defensemen and long-stick middies who want to dominate the game.

I really enjoy the X10, and now have it on my backup stick. It's a strong head for a defender, and really withstands any beatings. It does bend and warp eventually, but that takes a while. If you're looking for a D head, go for it.Review by Pelle (Posted on 10/25/2016)
I love this head, it scoops up ground balls like a dream and it strings very easilyReview by Alex (Posted on 10/25/2016)
really good head for d.Has really good sidewall design, and is one of the easiest heads to string. If you play d this is the head for youReview by bo$$ (Posted on 10/25/2016)
My favorite Defensive head I have used so far. I would definitely recommend this head for any beginner to advanced player.Review by Falesy (Posted on 10/25/2016)
This is by far my favorite head in the game right now. I play travel and high school lacrosse as a defenseman and I prefer a wide head when I play. The ground balls with this head are also amazing. The only downside to this head is that it snaps very easily. I have broken three in the past year, so now I am going to try the Hammer U.Review by J Buck (Posted on 10/25/2016)
Strings up nicely. A little wide compared to what I am used to, but that is what you want out of a defensive head. No complaints. I'd go for it.Review by TooDefensive (Posted on 10/25/2016)
good tough defensive head. only problem is if your a kid that likes to carry the ball and get a bit fancy with your stick work iut can be hard to find the perfect pocket/pattern. other then that it keeps it's shape and stays still. also good for gb'sReview by lsm boi (Posted on 10/25/2016)
The best defence head i have ever used also works for attack one best of a headReview by Cade (Posted on 10/25/2016)
I've had three of them, broken one. This is the head I swear by for a defender, great face shape and offset.Review by Snake Anderson (Posted on 10/25/2016)
Only thing I would be aware of, is that poke checks cause it to become flimsy quickly. I don't throw many pokes. If you do, look into something with Titanium reinforcement.
The best defensive head out there. I have had this head for about a year and a half and i am still using it today. There is a few dings in it but its still good.Review by LSM (Posted on 10/25/2016)
This head is great i have owned one and still have the same one.I have had it two years and its still fine.Review by Duuuuuhmar (Posted on 10/25/2016)
All around perfect defensive headReview by Long poled Middie (Posted on 10/25/2016)
Great head, one of the best defensive heads that I have ever used. The only down side is the thin side walls that can break (the thin rails that up and down the sidewall). The head works well and can be strung in almost any possible way. I have used it strung with mesh with all straight shooters, all U's, a U and straight and also traditional stringing. Works well with handling and carrying the ball. Overall its a great head and defiantly the best in the game.Review by WildcatLax (Posted on 10/25/2016)
I broke one of my heads at a tournament and had to buy this head. It started alright but warped with one poke check a week after at practice. I sincerely doubt that this is the best defensive head to buy.Review by Klaff (Posted on 10/25/2016)
over hyped. practically useless. break easily and warp quick. also after a short time they become super softReview by always right (Posted on 10/25/2016)
Everyone over hypes the x10, I love the x10 but it's just not durable enough to be used competitivly. I've had 3 x10's in my career and all have broken not even a month after i start using them. They warp far to easily no matter how carefully you treat them the sidewalls will start to warp and eventually on one of your ever importent poke checks it will just snap.Review by Andy (Posted on 10/25/2016)
I bought the X10 from LaxMonkey less than 8 months ago; would play maybe once a week for about 4 of those months. I babied this head; keeping it out of the garage & in a normal & warm climate. I never played in less than 40 degree temps and today it broke in THREE PLACES on the sidewall (right side, nearest the shaft, the 1st & 2nd post on the sidewall and top part of the head at the 3rd sidewall support).Review by Hads (Posted on 10/25/2016)
I thought is was a strong & durable design prior to today; I am an aggressive player but didn't expect only a solid 4 months outta this head. Disappointed in the product...
i got mine in black and quickly learned is lost stiffness quickly if black. Good head overall. I recommend buying it in whiteReview by Luke (Posted on 10/25/2016)
Used this head for one seeing of high school Uv play and practice and could not be happier. But now in travel season it has lost all of its stiffnessReview by jerry (Posted on 10/25/2016)
I love this head it's light and also very tough great head would totally reccomendd to anyone.Review by That One Pro (Posted on 10/25/2016)
This head is great for a defenseman that doesn't throw many poke checks. I have used it for the last month and I like it a lot but after throwing three poke checks its sidewall broke. I believe I could get a better quality head elsewhere in the Hammer or Proto U.Review by Perry (Posted on 10/25/2016)
I have used this head for the last year on my D-pole and it is a nice sturdy head. My only complaint is it is a little bulky.Review by jeremy (Posted on 10/25/2016)
side note: I live in oregon and during lacrosse season its always raining.
I've both played with and seen a lot of people play with this head. I play close D myself, and I've found that this head isnt for throwing poke checks. The x10 will warp within a few solid pokes. However, it is a great head for LSM's that pick off passes and throw more slap-based takeaway checks. I've also seen a few middies and even some attackman use this head. The bottom line is you have to know your playing style. If you throw a lot of pokes, this isn't the head for you.Review by The StickyFinger Bandit (Posted on 10/25/2016)
It's a good head overall but if you like to throw checks it will warp. I haven't had a problem with the warping, I've gotten used to it and it still hasn't broken .Review by Lazer (Posted on 10/25/2016)
i pinch x10s and its the perfect lsm head, or a great wide atk/mid head too!Review by Deniz (Posted on 10/25/2016)
Great head. i would recommend it to the grades 3 through 8 skill level.Review by Surgeon500 (Posted on 10/25/2016)
If your a defensive LP looking for a very stiff and strong defensive head I would recommend upgrading to the hammer. The x10 is an amazing LSM head, it is versatile between being a defensive & offensive head, it passes & shoots amazing, it is quite stiff and last long. Get this head while it last LSM's!!!!Review by LSM (Posted on 10/25/2016)
