Using the Lacrosse Shaft

The Lacrosse shaft is used as a means to block another player who is attempting to prevent you from making your goal. In Lacrosse, you are permitted to use your Lacrosse shaft to the arms and legs of a player to prevent the opposition from standing in the way of your play. The rules do not allow you to use your Lacrosse shaft to physically harm anyone, but you can attempt to disarm them or cause them to lose the ball. You can also startle them by using your Lacrosse shaft thus causing them to lose track of what they were doing.

The Lacrosse shaft is a good way to stage an attack on another player's defense mechanism. That doesn't mean you physically attack, but rather you use a method of attack using a quality Lacrosse shaft that prevents the other team from scoring a goal. The goal of the game is the same as soccer, but you use a much smaller ball and the netted stick to hit the ball into the goal. Unlike soccer, however, you are permitted a certain amount of physical contact in order to prevent the other team from making a goal. You cannot use a Lacrosse shaft to hit the other player in the head, back, or other parts of the body other than the arms and legs.

A great Lacrosse shaft is a defense mechanism, not one of attacking other players. You have to know the right way to use a Lacrosse shaft to prevent the opposition from scoring goals or you will find yourself in the penalty box instead of on the field playing. For information on using a Lacrosse shaft and how to choose the Lacrosse shaft that is right for you, visit Lacrosse Monkey for everything you need to play a great game of Lacrosse.
